Job Description:

This cross-functional role is responsible for coordinating, creating, maintaining, publishing, and standardizing technical documentation, product specifications, packaging documentation, and operational knowledge across the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders from Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, IT, and Product Management to ensure documentation is accurate, compliant, standardized, and supports efficient global manufacturing processes and product lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities:     

  • Coordinate, create, maintain, publish, and distribute technical documentation, product specifications, and packaging documentation.
  • Drive the standardization of documentation, specifications, and operational knowledge to ensure consistency across global operations.
  • Manage and maintain Ops Book content in collaboration with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain and optimize documentation platforms, including SharePoint, Wiki, and other content management systems.
  • Develop, update, and manage packaging specifications for products, components, and shipping configurations.
  • Create and maintain product specifications, technical data sheets, and related documentation.
  • Evaluate documentation change requests, estimate required effort, and coordinate implementation.
  • Maintain specification registers, documentation dashboards, and progress reports.
  • Develop work instructions and training materials related to documentation processes.
  • Support platform updates, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for documentation-related questions and provide support to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Quality teams to ensure documentation complies with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support additional projects and tasks as assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in technical documentation, specification management, or a similar role.
  • Experience coordinating or leading cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with document management platforms such as SharePoint, Wiki, or similar systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with international teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 5%).
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with technical documentation for medical devices.
  • Knowledge of EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR).
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and other quality management standards.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Sign.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Experience in the ophthalmic optics or medical device industry.
