Sunbilt is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and self-driven individual to fill in the position of Dispatch Clerk. Join our dedicated team as we aim to delight our customers by providing world-class service and excellence each passing day.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibility of this post is to plan, organize, control, and coordinate all activities pertaining to the receiving and dispatching of all warehouse goods in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.
KEY FUNCTIONS
Use of counter-point computer system to retrieve and prepare transfer requests.
Ensure the organization and accuracy of all transactions relating to the dispatching of goods.
Ensure accurate documentation for all goods leaving and being received into the location.
Ensure goods are dispatched promptly and with due care is always exercised in the handling of goods.
Respond to internal and external customers’ inquiries, complaints, and product queries.
Investigate and report all variances in goods received from other locations.
Identify and report on any damaged goods in adherence with company policy.
Assist with customer bills, special orders, and deliveries as instructed.
Actively participate in stock take process
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
Five CXC passes at General proficiency level including Mathematics and English Language (Grades 1, 2, or 3); Tertiary education would be an asset.
At least two (2) years experience in warehousing or inventory.
Computer literate in at least Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and working knowledge of Counterpoint SQL would be an asset.
Ability to make arithmetical computations accurately.
Ability to act independently while performing required tasks.
Ability to use tact and courtesy at all times.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work well with other employees.
Ability to portray an approachable and professional attitude.
Ability to get individual and group tasks completed efficiently and on a timely basis.
Applicant must be a strong team player, well organized with strong analytical and time management skills, able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy and thoroughness, flexible and reliable.
