Director, Professional Relations 

We are seeking a Director, Professional Relations to serve as a strategic leader responsible for building and advancing relationships with pharmacists, pharmacy organizations, and pharmacy key opinion leaders that support MJH Life Sciences’ mission and growth. You will develop engagement strategies across the pharmacy community — national and state pharmacy associations, health-system and specialty pharmacy leadership, colleges of pharmacy, and credentialing and accreditation bodies — oversee high-value partnerships, represent MJH externally, and mentor a team that delivers consistent impact across the profession. 

This role is for a relationship-driven leader who understands how pharmacists practice and what pharmacy organizations need from a media and education partner, thinks strategically about how partnerships create organizational value, and uses AI to stay ahead of industry intelligence, sharpen stakeholder communications, and operate efficiently across a broad external landscape. 

What You’ll Do 

• Develop and lead engagement strategy for pharmacy associations and pharmacist key opinion leaders, setting the vision for how MJH Life Sciences builds and sustains high-value relationships across the profession 

• Build and maintain relationships across the range of pharmacy stakeholders  

• Use AI tools to accelerate industry research, stakeholder intelligence gathering, meeting preparation, partnership reporting, and communications — staying ahead of trends in pharmacy practice and operating efficiently across a complex external portfolio 

• Serve as the primary liaison to pharmacy key opinion leaders, representing MJH Life Sciences with credibility and strategic intent 

• Oversee  agreements, negotiations, and collaborative initiatives, ensuring all engagements align with organizational priorities and deliver measurable value 

• Represent MJH Life Sciences at pharmacy meetings, association annual conferences, and professional events, positioning the organization as an essential partner to the pharmacy community 

• Provide strategic input into program design and business development opportunities that strengthen MJH’s presence and influence within pharmacy 

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Business Development, Outcomes, and Marketing teams to align professional relations strategy with organizational goals 

• Lead and develop the Professional Relations team, providing mentorship, clear direction, and performance management that builds capability and accountability 

• Monitor and report on partnership outcomes, engagement effectiveness, and shifts in pharmacy practice  to senior leadership, translating relationship activity into intelligence that informs business decisions

• Experience in professional relations, stakeholder engagement, or pharmacy association management, with a record of leading partnerships and representing an organization externally 

• Working knowledge of the pharmacy landscape — how pharmacists practice across health-system, specialty, community, and managed care settings, and how pharmacy organizations, residency training, and board certification fit together 

• An AI-native leader. You actively use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or AI-powered research and communications platforms to gather stakeholder intelligence, prepare for high-stakes engagements, draft partnership communications, and monitor industry trends — and you build these practices into how your team operates 

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence, align, and build trust with stakeholders at every level  

• Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of mentoring and developing staff in a relationship-intensive environment 

• Strategic thinker who balances long-term relationship investment with near-term business objectives and can articulate the value of professional relations in measurable terms 

• Familiarity with pharmacy continuing education, ACPE accreditation, or healthcare communications strongly preferred 

• PharmD or advanced degree in communications, business, or healthcare preferred; bachelor’s degree required 

AI Capability Expectation 

Candidates should be prepared to discuss how they are currently using AI in their professional relations, stakeholder engagement, or strategic communications work. This includes: 

• Specific tools in active use and how they support stakeholder research, industry monitoring, partnership reporting, or executive communications preparation 

• How AI has improved the depth or efficiency of relationship intelligence — such as tracking association priorities, monitoring pharmacy KOL activity, or preparing for high-stakes meetings and negotiations 

• How you use AI to help your team operate with greater consistency, speed, and strategic insight across a broad external stakeholder portfolio 

• Bonus: examples of AI-driven approaches that surfaced a partnership opportunity, strengthened an engagement strategy, or improved how professional relations outcomes were communicated to senior leadership
