About this Director, Product Marketing role at Zocdoc
Our Mission
You call. You wait. You call again. In every other part of your life, you book in seconds. In healthcare, you’re blocked.
We’re here to give power to the patient.
For nearly 20 years, we’ve built the leading healthcare marketplace - helping tens of millions of people find and book the care they need. Now, we’re going further: building our infrastructure beyond Zocdoc’s marketplace to power access to care wherever patients search, from provider websites and insurance directories to search engines, AI platforms, and more.
Healthcare still lacks something every other major consumer industry takes for granted: a seamless way to go from seeking to getting. We don’t want to own the front door to care; there isn't one. We want to make sure all of those doors open when patients are knocking.
Fixing healthcare starts with fixing access to it. And we're still just getting started.
Your Impact on Our Mission
As the Director of Patient Product Marketing, you'll be the strategic voice of the patient inside Zocdoc's Product Marketing organization. Reporting to our VP, Product Marketing, you'll own the overarching positioning, narrative, and GTM strategy for the entire patient-facing portfolio–defining how millions of consumers discover, choose, and come to trust Zocdoc. In this role, you will lead and scale a high-performing team of PMMs, pairing deep market insights with visionary audience strategies that accelerate customer adoption and long-term business growth. By staying ahead of where healthcare is going, you’ll paint a clear picture of the future for patients while helping to shape our product strategy. You will lead our PMM team into an AI-native era—championing automated GTM workflows and modern tool stacks that allow the team to scale efficiently and focus on high-impact work.
Your day-to-day is...
- Owning go-to-market strategy and positioning across our consumer portfolio, serving as strategic partner to design, product, and GMs, and bringing a sharp perspective on the exact consumer segments we should build for
- Leading and coaching a team of PMMs, setting the standard for audience strategy, messaging simplicity, and high-impact GTM execution
- Informing the product discovery with market context, validating user needs and competitive dynamics to ensure our roadmaps deliver clear patient value and strong product-market fit
- Championing the shift toward scalable GTM capabilities and AI-native ways of working to maximize business impact
You'll Enjoy This Role If You...
- Love turning complex user behaviors into clear, compelling positioning and GTM strategy
- Are energized by building and coaching a team of product marketers
- Can speak with equal fluency to a GM about market opportunity and to a product team about patient psychology and user experience
- Have an interest in transforming the healthcare experience for millions of patients
- Are comfortable being the accountable owner of a narrative that spans multiple products and teams
- Take pride in balancing big-picture strategy with the coaching and rigor it takes to bring a team along with you
You'll be successful in this role if you...

- Have deep experience with consumer products or marketplaces, ideally where trust, choice, and repeat engagement drive the business
