About this Director, PMO - Supply Chain Planning role at Blue Yonder

Blue Yonder · Onsite · Bangalore

Scope:

  • Lead the delivery and governance of large-scale Supply Chain Planning and Logistics transformation programs across global regions, ensuring successful execution, profitability, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Drive PMO excellence by mentoring project managers, simplifying delivery processes, and establishing robust deal review and risk management frameworks.
  • Champion AI-driven innovation and strategic portfolio management while partnering with executive leadership to enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.

What You'll do:

  • Strategic Supply Chain & Logistics Expertise: Bring deep, hands-on experience architecting and delivering large-scale Supply Chain planning solutions—including demand planning, network optimization, logistics strategy, and procurement transformation. Leverage this domain expertise to set standards for PS delivery, mentor Project Managers on supply chain best practices, and ensure our delivery methodology aligns with how complex supply chain transformations are executed.
  • Regional Project Delivery Leadership: Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully delivering major, strategic supply chain projects across multiple regions (EMEA, India, North America, etc.). Show evidence of managing complex stakeholder environments, navigating regional differences, and adapting delivery models to ensure success across geographies.
  • PM Mentoring and Capability Development: Mentor and support Project Managers across the organization in delivering complex, multi-phase supply chain transformations. Provide coaching on technical depth, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and execution excellence. Build a high-performing PM community with strong capability in supply chain domain knowledge.
  • Deal Review Framework Design: Lead the redesign and implementation of a revised deal review framework that accurately assesses engagement risk, feasibility, and delivery complexity. Develop frameworks that factor in supply chain domain complexity, regional nuances, team capacity, and market conditions. Own the rigor and quality of pre-engagement assessments.
  • Operational Simplification and Excellence: Drive continuous improvement across the PMO function with a relentless focus on reducing complexity and eliminating unnecessary friction. Streamline processes, templates, governance structures, and decision-making frameworks. Simplify how PMs work, enabling them to focus on delivering value rather than navigating bureaucracy.
  • Executive Stakeholder Leadership: Partner directly with C-suite and senior leadership across regions to align PMO strategy with business objectives. Provide strategic guidance on portfolio decisions, resource allocation, and delivery capacity. Lead board-level and QBR presentations with clarity, confidence, and data-driven insights.
  • AI-Powered Technology Initiatives: Lead the adoption of AI and advanced technology to transform PMO operations—from automated risk detection, AI-assisted planning, intelligent resource matching, to AI-driven reporting and insights. Build a forward-thinking PMO that leverages Claude, Copilot, and similar platforms to drive efficiency and innovation.

What We're Looking For:

Experience & Domain Expertise

  • 12–15+ years of hands-on Project Management experience, with strong focus on Supply Chain planning, transformation, and logistics solutions.
  • Demonstrated success delivering multiple large-scale, strategic supply chain projects across at least 2–3 regions (EMEA, India, North America, or APAC).
  • Proven experience managing P&L, margins, and profitability for major projects or delivery portfolios.
  • Track record of mentoring and developing senior Project Managers and consulting teams.

Technical & Operational Excellence

  • Hands-on expertise with supply chain planning tools, methodologies, and solution design (e.g., demand planning, network optimization, procurement systems).
  • Deep working knowledge of PSA/resource management platforms and CRM/Salesforce systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for dashboarding and executive reporting.
  • Practical, hands-on experience leveraging AI tools (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise) for automation, analysis, and process improvement.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable PMO priorities and frameworks.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management—comfortable influencing C-suite executives, regional leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex processes without sacrificing governance or accountability.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with passion for modernizing operations using AI, automation, and forward-thinking methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen with comfort managing budgets, margins, and resource allocation.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred; Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or Engineering required.
