Job Summary
The Director, Learning & Development is responsible for leading the transformation of learning and 
development across the Company. As a key member of the People Team, this role will build and 
scale a modern learning ecosystem that enables exceptional customer care, operational excellence, 
and an outstanding team member experience.
The Director will be responsible for enterprise onboarding, clinical and operational training, 
learning technologies, instructional design, and field training delivery across all markets. This role 
requires an innovative leader who can balance strategic vision with operational execution, 
leveraging learning technology, data, AI, and modern instructional design methodologies to create 
scalable, measurable learning experiences that improve performance and accelerate organizational 
growth. 
The Director will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for Learning Management Systems 
(LMS), instructional design, EMR training, and market-based training delivery while partnering 
closely with Operations, Clinical Leadership, Talent Management, Information Technology, and 
Joint Venture partners.

Qualifications
Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Education, Organizational Development, 
Human Resources, Business, Instructional Design, Nursing, Clinical Sciences, Healthcare 
Administration or related field.
Work Experience Required:
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, 
Organizational Development or Workforce enablement.
• 5+ years of experience leading Managers and large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise-wide learning and development 
strategies.
• Experience leading large-scale learning transformation, workforce capability, or 
organizational change initiatives.
• Experience leveraging learning analytics and business performance data to measure and 
improve organizational outcomes.
• Experience managing significant learning budgets, vendor relationships, and technology 
investments

Preferred Qualifications, Education, Licenses, Certifications, Experience, etc.:
• Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Nursing Leadership, Healthcare 
Administration, Business, or related field.
• Healthcare, urgent care, ambulatory care, hospital, retail healthcare, or other highly 
regulated industry experience.
• Experience supporting clinical and operational workforce development.
• Experience implementing or supporting EMR training programs.
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled learning tools and advanced learning technologies.
• ATD, CPTD, SHRM, Prosci, or related professional certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• This role involves overseeing team members and interaction and collaboration with other 
departments and requires excellent judgment and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through leaders by developing high-performing management 
teams, establishing accountability, and building organizational capability across large, 
geographically dispersed teams
• Deep expertise in learning technology, LMS administration, learning analytics, and digital 
learning platforms.
• Experience with enterprise learning platforms such as Workday Learning, Cornerstone, 
SuccessFactors, Docebo, or similar LMS solutions
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and performance 
consulting.
• Experience creating scalable onboarding and workforce development programs.
• Proven ability to lead transformation and organizational change initiatives.
• Strong business acumen and ability to connect learning outcomes to operational 
performance.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive 
organizational alignment.
• Expertise in leadership development, succession planning, talent acceleration, and 
workforce capability development.
• Experience establishing skills-based learning and career development frameworks.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to evaluate ROI of learning investments.
• Strong knowledge of organizational change management principles and adoption strategies.
• Understanding of generative AI applications in learning design, content development, 
coaching, knowledge management, and performance support.
• Ability to establish governance, effectiveness measures, and responsible use practices for 
AI-enabled learning solutions.
• Ability to translate business strategy into workforce capability and development plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Learning Strategy & Transformation

• Develop and execute an enterprise-wide learning strategy aligned with the Company’s 
growth plans, business objectives, and patient experience goals.
• Create a vision for asynchronous learning that enables scalable, on-demand development 
across clinical, operational, leadership, and support functions

• Establish learning standards, governance, and measurement frameworks across all 
markets.
• Lead the modernization of learning through innovative instructional design, AI-enabled 
learning tools, adaptive learning technologies, simulations, microlearning, and digital 
learning platforms.
• Drive a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the 
organization.
• Develop learning roadmaps that support both hard-skill and soft-skill development for 
frontline employees and leaders.
Learning Technology & Innovation
• Serve as the executive owner of the learning technology ecosystem, including LMS 
platforms, content authoring tools, AI-enabled learning solutions, learner analytics, and 
digital adoption tools.
• Partner with Technology and Operations teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize 
learning technologies.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to ensure learning platforms provide an engaging, 
measurable, and user-friendly experience.
• Utilize learning analytics and performance metrics to assess effectiveness and demonstrate 
organizational impact.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance 
learning capabilities.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies including AI-enabled learning solutions, 
performance support tools, skills intelligence platforms, and digital adoption technologies.
• Establish governance and effectiveness standards for AI-powered learning and 
development tools.
• Partner with Technology, Compliance, and Security teams to ensure responsible 
implementation of learning technologies.
• Drive automation and process improvement opportunities within the learning ecosystem.
Enterprise Onboarding & Workforce Enablement
• Design and oversee enterprise onboarding programs that support remote, hybrid, and fieldbased employees.
• Ensure new team members achieve productivity faster through structured onboarding 
pathways and role-based learning journeys.
• Develop standardized onboarding experiences while allowing for market-specific 
operational needs.
• Create scalable certification and competency-based development programs for frontline 
and leadership populations.
Leadership, Clinical & Operational Development
• Oversee development and delivery of learning programs for clinical teammates, center 
operations teams, Support Center team members, emerging leaders, people leaders, and 
market leadership teams.
• Partner with Clinical Leadership to ensure training supports quality, safety, compliance, and 
patient experience goals.
• Build robust leadership development pathways to strengthen succession planning and 
internal mobility.
Organizational Effectiveness
• Establish KPIs that link learning activity to business outcomes, including, new hire 
productivity, employee retention, quality outcomes, patient experience, compliance 
completion, internal mobility, leadership effectiveness

• Regularly evaluate learning effectiveness and continuously improve programs based on 
data and stakeholder feedback.
• Utilize workforce and learning analytics to identify development gaps and inform strategic 
workforce planning.
• Regularly communicate impact, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership.
Team Leadership
• Lead a high-performing organization responsible for Clinical Learning, Learning Solutions, 
Provider Learning, EMR Training, Learning Technology, Instructional Design, School 
Programs, and Market Training.
• Provide strategic leadership, coaching, performance management, and professional 
development for leaders and team members.
• Establish clear priorities, service standards, accountability measures, and operational 
excellence practices across the learning function.
• Foster collaboration across market, clinical, operational, and support center teams.
• Build organizational capability and strengthen leadership depth throughout the Learning & 
Development function.
Financial & Vendor Management
• Develop and manage the annual Learning & Development budget, including travel and 
expense costs.
• Evaluate, select, and manage external learning vendors, consultants, and technology 
providers.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements to maximize value and effectiveness.
• Monitor utilization, effectiveness, and return on investment of learning programs and 
technology platforms.
• Ensure appropriate stewardship of organizational resources and learning investments.

Base Salary Range: $153,900/year to $211,647/year

The range above reflects the good-faith compensation range the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. 

Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, education, geographic location, and other business-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.

• Office Environment: Tasks may be conducted within a climate-controlled office setting.
• Physical Activity: The role may require the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials, 
supplies, and equipment (up to 15 lbs.) Duties typically involve a combination of sitting, 
standing, and walking, with frequent changes in position.
• Travel: Travel may be required, including travel between Company locations and out-oftown destinations as needed, up to 15%, but subject to change based on business need.
• Safety Equipment: May require the use of safety equipment for infection prevention.
