Key Responsibilities 

1 Business Development & Client Management 

• Develop new business across Power Generation, Renewable Energy, Upstream & Downstream Energy and other Complex Risks. 

• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and target clients. 

• Identify and pursue opportunities in Thailand and selected regional markets 

• Support strategic accounts, tenders, renewal strategies and client presentations. 

• Identify cross-selling opportunities across Howden’s wider capabilities. 

2. Technical & Risk Advisory 

• Act as a client-facing technical specialist for Energy and Complex Risks. 

• Provide technical risk analysis, risk management advice and practical solutions. 

• Support clients in improving risk quality and presenting risks effectively to insurance markets. 

• Conduct and collaborate with Howden Risk Engineering and regional specialists where additional expertise is required. 

3. Insurance Market Development 

• Build strong relationships with local, regional and international insurers, reinsurers and underwriters. 

• Develop knowledge of market appetite, capacity and technical requirements. 

• Work with Howden’s broking and Specialty teams to develop effective placement and risk-transfer strategies. 

4. Claims & Technical Support 

• Provide technical support on complex claims. 

• Work with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, engineers and Howden Claims teams to support effective claim resolution. 

• Apply lessons learned from claims to improve clients’ future risk management. 

5. Client Service Excellence 

• Ensure all deliverables (risk reports, improvement plans, RFP inputs, presentations) are technically sound, well-structured, and client-centric. 

• Build long-term trust through consistent technical advocacy and transparent communication. 

• Position Howden Maxi as the preferred technical partner for insurers, reinsurers, and corporate clients. 

6. Industry & Howden Network 

• Build relationships with Energy, Power and relevant industry associations and professional networks. 

• Represent Howden at industry events, technical forums and client activities. 

• Collaborate with Howden teams in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and across the region. 

7. Other Duties 

• Perform any other assignments as may be assigned by superior to support the company’s business objectives and growth. 

Key Expectations 

• Grow Howden’s Energy & Complex Risks portfolio and new-business pipeline. 

• Strengthen strategic client and insurance market relationships. 

• Create technical differentiation beyond traditional insurance broking. 

• Develop opportunities across PowerGen, Renewable Energy, Upstream, Downstream and other complex/high-hazard industries. 

• Work collaboratively and hands-on, with strong ownership and accountability. 

• Contribute over time to building a dedicated Energy & Complex Risks team and technical capability in Thailand. 

Experience & Skills 

• Strong technical background in Energy, Power Generation, Engineering or complex industrial risks. 

• Good understanding of operational, engineering and insurance risks. 

• Strong client relationship, networking and business development capabilities. 

• Ability to translate technical knowledge into practical commercial and insurance solutions. 

• Entrepreneurial, collaborative and comfortable working in a hands-on environment. 

• Strong communication skills in Thai and English. 

• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify, shape and convert business opportunities by connecting industry trends, client needs, technical risks and insurance-market solutions. 

• Consultative and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to challenge constructively and influence decision-making.
