Job Purpose

Provide strategic leadership for digital, data and analytics capabilities across WREF, using data as a key asset to drive improved business outcomes, optimize end-to-end processes, and enable better, faster decision-making. The role is accountable for defining and executing the digital data and analytics strategy, building and leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams, and partnering with teams and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable digital products, data platforms and analytical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the vision and strategy for digital, data and analytics in line with business objectives, and translate it into an executable roadmap of initiatives and products.
• Lead the design, development and deployment of digital products, data platforms, analytical models and visualizations that improve performance, quality, compliance and customer experience.
• Establish and govern data and analytics standards, including data architecture, data quality, metadata and model lifecycle management.
• Build, lead and develop the DDA Team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Partner with WREF LT and functions to identify high-value use cases, prioritize demand and ensure solutions meet customer needs.
• Maintain and continuously improve key digital infrastructure (databases, models, software, pipelines, dashboards) to ensure reliability, scalability and security.
• Oversee portfolio management and delivery of digital and analytics programmes, ensuring benefits realization, adherence to budget and timelines, and effective change management.
• Promote data literacy across the organization and support capability development so stakeholders can effectively use digital tools and data insights.
• Manage relationships with central/global digital and tech teams and external partners/vendors to leverage platforms, best practices and new technologies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal policies and governance frameworks, including data privacy, information security where applicable.

Why You?

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline with 18+ years of experience
• Typically 10+ years post-graduate experience in data science, analytics, digital product, or technology roles, including significant experience in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Proven track record of leading large digital/data/analytics programmes and teams, with responsibility for strategy, delivery and change management.
• In-depth experience with digital, data and analytics techniques, including:
  • Statistical modelling, machine learning, and advanced analytics
  • Data engineering, relational databases, and data warehousing
  • BI and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) and programming tools
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with operations, quality, engineering, finance and tech teams to deliver business value.
• Strong leadership and people management skills; able to develop high-performing teams and coach others.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills at senior levels.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language and actionable insights.
• Experience with governance and compliance frameworks (e.g. data validation, data privacy) where relevant.
