BUSINESS UNIT DESCRIPTION

We provide integrated capital markets products, investment banking advisory services, corporate lending and top-ranked research to corporate, government and institutional clients around the world. Our goal is to be the leading Capital Markets franchise in Canada and the lead relationship bank for key clients globally.

 

JOB PURPOSE 
We are seeking an experienced trader and entrepreneurial candidate to build and help lead our Asia Equity Finance & Delta One franchise. This is a unique opportunity to build a business from the ground up, developing a market-leading platform across securities financing, stock lending, equity swaps, total return swaps and synthetic financing solutions. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute the strategy for the Asia Equity Finance & Delta One business.
• Build and manage a profitable franchise across stock lending, borrowing, equity swaps, total return swaps and other financing solutions.
• Establish and maintain senior relationships with asset managers, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds and other institutional investors.
• Maximize internalization and monetization of firm and client inventory, identifying opportunities across Prime, Equity Derivatives, Securities Lending and other businesses.
• Source and optimize inventory through relationships with beneficial owners, agent lenders, custodians and market intermediaries.
• Drive client acquisition, revenue growth and balance sheet efficiency.
• Partner with Sales, Prime Services, Equity Derivatives, Risk, Operations, Technology and Treasury teams to deliver innovative financing solutions.
• Contribute to an inclusive and collaborative culture that values trust, teamwork & accountability
• Establish robust risk management, governance and control frameworks.
• Lead platform development, automation initiatives and operational scalability.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Extensive front-office experience in Equity Finance, Securities Lending, Delta One Trading or Equity Derivatives.
• Proven track record of building and growing financing, securities lending or Delta One businesses.
• Deep understanding of Asian equity markets, securities financing and synthetic products.
• Strong institutional client network across Asia-Pacific.
• Strong understanding of RWA, leverage, NSFR/LCR and other resource constraints
• Demonstrated ability to generate significant revenues while effectively managing risk & resources.
• Strong leadership, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience operating within a regulated banking environment.
