Director, Account Management

Overview

This role is responsible for leading Mastercard's relationships with key banking partners in Vietnam, acting as the primary account owner for a portfolio of strategic issuer clients. The position requires a commercially driven, strategic account leader who can partner with customers and cross-functional Mastercard teams to drive growth, deepen client engagement, and deliver long-term partnership value.

Role

- Own and execute account plans aligned to customer and Mastercard growth objectives
- Lead the overall relationship and profitability of assigned accounts, engaging senior stakeholders across client organizations
- Develop and execute joint business plans to drive revenue, market share, and strategic outcomes
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across consumer, SME, commercial, and digital payments
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Marketing, Services, Technology) to deliver integrated client solutions
- Drive consultative, insight-led engagement leveraging market intelligence and data-driven recommendations
- Lead commercial negotiations and support the execution of strategic initiatives and key growth opportunities
- Monitor business performance and proactively address risks and opportunities
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

All About You

- Strong commercial mindset with a track record in account management, business development, consulting, strategy, or product management
- Deep understanding of the payments, banking, or fintech ecosystem
- Proven ability to manage senior client relationships and influence executive stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities
- Experience developing and executing growth strategies and managing complex commercial engagements
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working across multiple functions and navigating complex organizations
- Results-driven with a strong execution focus and ownership mindset
- Experience in payments, financial services, strategy, fintech, or management consulting preferred
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese
