Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading a team to maximize the value delivered through multiple programs and/or value streams within a small, less complex delivery portfolio. Key responsibilities include managing and developing the team through coaching, mentoring and feedback, aligning strategy, and execution by applying Lean and systems thinking approaches to strategy, investment funding, portfolio operations, and governance. Job expectations include managing the portfolio, ensuring compliance to standards, and driving continuous improvement to operations and governance.
Position Summary:
Client Facing Digital Marketing (CFDM) develops and manages Bank of America’s digital marketing platforms, including Bank of America website experiences, content management systems, and customer offers. The Portfolio Manager for CFDM is accountable for end-to-end portfolio delivery—from intake, requirements, estimation, and funding alignment through planning, execution, release, and outcome tracking. The role leads a team of business analysts, delivery leads, and release train engineers and establishes the operating routines, controls, and metrics needed to deliver a diverse book of work predictably. This professional oversees both programs owned by CFDM and work CFDM delivers as a service provider to partners, ensuring clear accountability across scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and dependencies.
Responsibilities:
- Directs and leads a delivery team aligned to a portfolio and mentors Delivery Leads
- Manages and improves portfolio operations and governance processes, ensuring risks and roadblocks are escalated and resolved quickly
- Builds relationships with business and technology executives across multiple organizations, as well as Compliance and Risk
- Partners with the key stakeholders and leaders to define the vision and creating the portfolio roadmap aligned to strategic goals
- Provides status updates and reporting for the portfolio to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to the desired outcomes, delivery, risks, issues, and schedule
- Manages overall portfolio financials, Profit and Loss (P&L), and performance
- Ensures adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards
- Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for the CFDM portfolio, including intake, estimation, requirements, funding, planning, execution, release readiness, implementation, and closure
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of business analysts, delivery leads, and release train engineers; establish clear roles, priorities, routines, and performance expectations
- Drive execution for programs owned by CFDM and coordinate delivery for work CFDM performs as a service provider to other organizations

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience leading complex technology portfolios, programs, or large-scale delivery efforts involving multiple applications, teams, and stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated people leadership experience managing and developing business analysts, delivery leads, project or program managers, or release train engineers
- Strong command of portfolio and program management disciplines, including intake, estimation, requirements, roadmap planning, funding, financial management, resource planning, risk management, governance, and executive reporting
- Proven ability to convert business strategies and roadmaps into executable, funded delivery plans with clear scope, milestones, dependencies, and measurable outcomes
- Experience managing work across both direct ownership and service-provider delivery models, with clear accountability between sponsoring and executing organizations
- Ability to navigate technical, architectural, and business discussions; connect impacts across systems; influence decisions; and build consensus on scope, design, sequencing, timing, and cost
- Strong understanding of Agile and Lean delivery practices, release train operations, and iterative software development lifecycles
- Demonstrated success managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and executive-level visibility
- Strong written, verbal, facilitation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
- Experience identifying and escalating delivery, financial, operational, compliance, and dependency risks with clear options and recommendations
- Proficiency with portfolio and delivery tools such as Jira, AgilePlan, Jira Align, Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and Octane, or comparable platforms
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in banking or financial services, particularly within digital technology, digital marketing, client-facing web experiences, or content platforms
- Working knowledge of content management, digital experience, personalization, offers, or marketing technology ecosystems
- Experience using metrics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve requirements quality, planning efficiency, delivery predictability, and reporting
