About this Digital Marketing Manager role at Mendix
Key Responsibilities:
Agency Management & External Partnerships
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for digital marketing agencies and external partners.
- Manage agency scope, deliverables, budgets, timelines, and performance expectations.
- Lead regular planning sessions, status meetings, and business reviews with agency partners.
- Evaluate agency performance and identify opportunities for optimization and increased efficiency.
- Ensure agency and vendor activities align with business goals, campaign priorities, and brand standards.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend third-party marketing vendors, technologies, and service providers.
- Develop requirements, scopes of work, and success criteria for vendor engagements.
- Manage RFP processes, vendor selection, onboarding, and contract support activities.
- Partner with procurement, finance, and legal teams as needed to support vendor relationships.
- Track vendor performance and ROI to advise future investment decisions.
- Partner with brand, campaign, content, and product marketing teams to support coordinated marketing strategies.
- Ensure all digital marketing initiatives align with brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and business objectives.
- Contribute strategic recommendations regarding audience targeting, content promotion, digital experiences, and campaign execution.
- Support the development of marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement, and demand generation.
- Manage day-to-day digital marketing workflows, calendars, and operational processes.
- Coordinate campaign launches, asset delivery, approvals, and cross-functional execution activities.
- Ensure marketing programs are delivered on time, within budget, and according to established quality standards.
- Identify process improvements that increase team efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain documentation for vendors, agencies, workflows, budgets, and campaign activities.
- Supervise key marketing, digital, and vendor performance metrics.
- Partner with agencies and internal stakeholders to analyze campaign results and identify optimization opportunities.
- Develop reporting and insights that help guide future marketing investments and strategic decisions.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging digital marketing best practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Advertising, or related field.
- Proven experience in B2B marketing, digital marketing, agency account management, marketing operations, or integrated marketing.
- Experience working directly with marketing agencies, consultants, and third-party vendors.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including paid media, social media, email marketing, web, and content marketing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in both agency and in-house marketing environments.
- Experience supporting brand strategy and integrated campaign planning.
- Experience with marketing automation, CRM platforms, analytics, and reporting tools.
- Background in SaaS, enterprise software, or B2B technology marketing.
- Experience managing agency contracts, scopes of work, and performance reviews.
Success Metrics:
- Agency performance against established KPIs and service-level expectations.
- Successful delivery of digital marketing initiatives on time and within budget.
- Stakeholder satisfaction across brand, campaign, and digital marketing teams.

Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $100,000- $110,000 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
