Internship Program Overview: 

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.

Summary of Role:

Join GlobalFoundries Singapore Global Supply Management as a GSM Digital Innovation Intern and help shape how AI, automation and analytics are applied in real procurement and semiconductor supply chain work. This internship is ideal for a curious, hands-on builder who wants to turn ideas into practical tools that make everyday work faster, smarter and easier for business teams.

You will support meaningful GSM use cases such as supplier preparation, knowledge search, cost workshop support, workflow simplification, reporting and user adoption. The role offers exposure to a fast-moving global supply environment, with the opportunity to prototype, test and improve solutions that can create visible impact for the team.

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Partner with GSM users to identify practical AI, automation and analytics opportunities that improve everyday workflows.
• Build and test useful solutions such as Copilot prompts, templates, workflow automations, dashboards, knowledge assistants and lightweight AI agents.
• Support priority GSM use cases including supplier preparation, procurement knowledge search, cost workshop planning, document review, exception identification and management reporting.
• Turn business needs into simple process flows, solution designs, test plans and clear success measures.
• Run user testing, capture feedback and improve solutions before wider rollout.
• Create simple user guides, training materials and standard work to support adoption.
• Support demos, onboarding and feedback tracking to help the team use AI-enabled ways of working with confidence.
• Maintain an organized repository of approved prompts, tools, documentation and lessons learned.
• Apply responsible AI, data confidentiality, access control and company policy requirements in all solution development and rollout activities.

Expected Internship Outcomes

• A prioritized set of practical AI and automation use cases that enhance existing GSM workflows and improve productivity, user experience and decision support.
• Measured benefits for selected deployed solutions, such as cycle-time reduction, quality improvement, productivity gain or better reporting visibility.
• A sustainable AI toolkit and knowledge repository with clear user guides, ownership notes and handover documentation.
• Practical training materials and demonstrations that make AI-enabled ways of working more approachable, useful and inspiring for the team.

Other Responsibilities

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications

• Education - Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business or a related discipline during the internship.
• Must be in good academic standing. 
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.  
• Curiosity and demonstrated interest in applying AI, automation, analytics or digital tools to solve practical problems through academic, personal, competition or prior work projects.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to understand user needs and explain ideas clearly to business users.
• Willingness to learn quickly, take initiative and work through ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
• Available for a 16–24 week credit-bearing internship commencing January 2027. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior related internship or co-op experience 
• Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. 
• Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter
• Exposure to generative AI tools, prompt design, AI agents, retrieval-based knowledge solutions or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint or comparable low-code, automation and analytics platforms.
• Basic programming, scripting or data-handling knowledge such as Python, SQL, JavaScript, APIs or spreadsheet-based analysis
• Interest or experience in data preparation, dashboarding, process mapping, workflow automation, user interface prototyping or user research.
• Interest in procurement, supply chain, operations, manufacturing or the semiconductor industry.
• Collaborative mindset and comfort engaging with users who may have different levels of digital or AI experience.
