About this Digital Consulting Senior Manager, Oracle ERP Higher Education role at Huron

Huron · Onsite · Chicago - 550 Van Buren

Huron helps its clients drive growth, enhance performance and sustain leadership in the markets they serve. We collaborate with education organizations to develop strategies and implement solutions that enable the transformative change our clients need to own their future. Together, we empower clients to drive innovation, create sustainable funding streams and deliver better student outcomes.

Today, leaders of higher education institutions and academic medical centers are spending too much time reacting to market forces, rather than focusing on the essential priorities that help students, faculty and staff thrive. The most productive path forward requires an intentional approach and innovative thinking, whereby stakeholders across the entire institution rally around a shared vision and embrace the hard work of effecting change.

You’ll help our clients to achieve organizational effectiveness, improve student outcomes, implement new technologies and align resources and investments to ensure long-term sustainability.

Join our team as the expert you are now and create your future.

While activities vary based on project size/scope and individual skill-sets and strengths, the Senior Manager can expect to spend considerable time on client-facing engagements through all project phases (pursuit to delivery), project management, and intensive data-analysis to implement impactful recommendations. Additionally, Senior Managers time will revolve around overall practice development, the mentorship of Coachees (when assigned), and general project/organizational administrative tasks.

  • Provide functional expertise across institutions’ financial operations and accounting, including areas such as general accounting, endowment accounting, payroll accounting, research accounting, budgeting, and related financial reporting.

  • Support pre-sales and business development activities, including contributing to solution approaches, proposals, and client presentations for higher education and public sector engagements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner, bringing awareness of ERP and financial management trends, cloud transformation strategies, and vendor roadmaps (Oracle or comparable platforms).
  • Contribute to the development of standards, templates, and best practices to support consistent, high-quality ERP implementations across public sector and higher education clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
