Dietary Cook – Part-Time

Delta View Post Acute is seeking a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Part-Time Dietary Cook to join our dietary team!

As a Dietary Cook, you will prepare nutritious, delicious meals while following established menus, special dietary requirements, and food safety guidelines. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys providing excellent service to others.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with sanitation regulations and food safety standards.
• Review menus and production sheets to determine food quantities and preparation needs.
• Accommodate special dietary requirements, including therapeutic and texture-modified diets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, equipment, and food storage spaces.
• Assist with food inventory, proper storage, and stock rotation using FIFO practices.
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff and healthcare team members.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served to residents on schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred; healthcare, senior living, or institutional experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of special diets and modified food textures preferred.
• Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong attention to detail and knowledge of food safety practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with a team.
