Die Maintenance

Job Description Summary

Performs preventive maintenance on all die equipment to keep production flowing smoothly and avoid costly downtime. Sets up new dies and performs required maintenance on existing ones in a timely manner. Maintains accurate records of work performed. Operates forklift to move heavy material within plant.

Job Description:

· Inspects dies for wear and damage after each use; makes repairs as necessary to maintain proper function.
· Cleans and lubricates moving parts to ensure smooth operation.
· Replaces worn or damaged components as directed by supervisor.
· Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities and communicates any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
· Assists other departments with tasks related to equipment maintenance as needed.

 

Required Skills and Education

· Experience working with dies and other metalworking equipment is ideal.
· Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift.
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· Forklift certification a plus.
