THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

CDAIO / AI TECH is looking for a SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER.

You will play a key role in enabling the design, development, and deployment of scalable and resilient AI solutions. Your mission will be to build and maintain the infrastructure and automation pipelines that support the entire AI lifecycle, from experimentation to production, ensuring agility, security, and operational excellence.

You will work in close collaboration with AI Experts, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and enterprise technology partners to accelerate the delivery of AI products that drive business value across Santander. This is a critical role in the AI transformation agenda, empowering the team to deliver responsible AI at scale.

Why this role is different: you won't just deploy what others design. You will shape the infrastructure architecture behind our solutions, and you will help build and run the internal platform our engineering teams will use every day. You will have real influence on technical decisions, and you will see your work in production.

We're shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, implementing, and managing robust CI/CD pipelines for GenAI applications and containerized services.
  • Designing infrastructure architecture and deploying solutions built by development teams across multiple environments.
  • Building and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure on AWS to support the full AI lifecycle, from development to production deployment and monitoring.
  • Automating infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation preferred; Terraform or CDK also valued).
  • Running containerized workloads on Kubernetes (EKS) and managing the supporting networking, DNS, load balancing and perimeter security.
  • Ensuring scalability, reliability, and high availability of AI services in production environments.
  • Monitoring system performance, debugging issues, and leading root-cause analysis and resolution of incidents. This includes participating in a light on-call rotation.
  • Collaborating with data engineering and ML teams to operationalize AI solutions and integrate them into business-critical systems.
  • Championing security, compliance, and governance standards across the AI tech stack.
  • Fostering a culture of automation and engineering excellence within the AI Tech Team.
