The University of Louisville School of Dentistry Academic Affairs is seeking a Department Coordinator IV (Credentialing). This position is primarily responsible for all aspects of the credentialing and re-credentialing process for all licensed clinician/providers of ULSD and ULDA (i.e., physicians, dentists, dental hygienists, etc.).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Research and process applications for ULSD/ULDA and its providers to ensure providers are credentialed with health plans, hospitals, and patient care facilities.
Ensures ULSD/ULDA and its providers take advantage of all the existing incentive initiatives through Medicaid and Medicare with the submission of the appropriate application.
Provides consistent, accurate and timely credentialing support for all ULSD/ULDA providers.
Provides accurate, timely and documented verification of the information provided by new applicants as well as current providers. Assists with the onboarding process of medical and dental providers.
Special projects as determined by management.
Verifies, researches, and responds to telephone and written inquiries from providers and other departments, pertaining to provider participation and credentialing status.
Works with finance staff to ensure list of all current payers is maintained and updated regularly.
Regularly communicates to providers and finance staff on all health plan enrollments and updates.
Coordinates all additions, terminations, and changes to all plans as appropriate.
Maintains up-to-date data for each provider in credentialing database.
Other duties assigned by management which include working alongside the insurance team.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
Medical and/or dental credentialing experience
Competencies
Microsoft Office Suite.
Verbal and written communications skills.
Organization skills.
