Join the Global Planning organization within Cisco’s Supply Chain. We are a collaborative, strategic, and highly analytical team dedicated to accurately establishing demand plans that satisfy customer needs and support Cisco’s overall Operating Plan. We are currently investing in next-generation planning technologies and approaches to set the operational and financial guardrails for our Corporate Operating Plan. As a member of the Compute (CSPBU) planning team, you will work with a global group of innovators who value technical excellence, cross-functional partnership, and data-driven decision-making.

Your Impact

As a Demand Planning Manager, you will drive the demand signal that powers our entire supply chain fulfillment engine. By employing sophisticated analytics and cross-functional intelligence, you will ensure our product plans are aligned with business objectives, revenue targets, and margin goals. Your work will directly influence how we handle inventory, respond to market changes, and provide elite service to our customers. You will act as a key advisor to partners, turning complex data into actionable insights that optimize our supply chain performance.

  • Drive an outstanding Demand Plan by collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, BU Marketing, Regional Sales & Operations, and Distribution Planning teams.
  • Analyze and plan based on portfolio strategies, corporate plans, competition, price sensitivities, geo-political changes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate product margins and portfolio forecasts to influence product mix and drive strategies that optimize overall profitability.
  • Develop demand signals and buffers using advanced analytics and predictive modeling (e.g., time series, causal, and judgmental methods).
  • Align with the Central Material & Fulfillment team on demand handoffs, guardrails, and supply buffers.
  • Engage with BU Marketing and Regional Planning to improve pipeline visibility and tracking of key customer demand.
  • Drive predictive revenue and margin planning in partnership with Finance and Central Revenue Planning.
  • Build toward standardization, automation, and scalability across processes, data, and analytics to ensure continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or 8+ years of equivalent professional experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain, specifically within Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), or Demand Planning.
  • Proven experience in building predictive models using time series, causal, or judgmental forecasting methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and translate them into actionable demand signals.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners such as Sales, Finance, or Marketing to line up with on business plans.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration (MBA) or a related quantitative field.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end planning processes, including inventory management, product life-cycle management, and supply chain financials.
  • Experience with supply chain modeling and the implementation of automation in planning workflows.
  • Strong strategic mentality with the ability to influence and collaborate with partners at various levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record to quickly learn complex domains and chip in to business outcomes with minimal direction.
