WORK HOURS: M-F, 8-5p / 9-6p (Friday WFH)

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Demand Planner (Licensed & Private Label) is responsible for developing and managing demand plans for Licensed and Private Label apparel and uniform businesses, supporting both make-to-stock and make-to-order operating models. This role creates demand plans across an 18-month horizon, incorporating historical sales, pipeline insights, and growth initiatives to inform inventory, materials, capacity, and financial planning. 
 
The Demand Planner plays a key role in translating market signals into actionable plans and providing visibility to stakeholders through reporting, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. This role contributes critical inputs into the broader S&OP process.

  • Develop and maintain demand plans across an 18-month horizon for Licensed and Private Label products, incorporating historical sales, customer pipeline, seasonality, product strategies, and strategic growth initiatives 

  • Translate demand signals into clear inputs for inventory planning, materials planning, capacity planning, and financial planning processes 

  • Analyze actual sales performance against demand forecasts and financial plans; identify trends, risks, opportunities, and gaps; and develop recommendations to drive improvements in plan adherence 

  • Test assumptions, evaluate forecasting errors, and continuously refine methodologies to improve accuracy and planning effectiveness 

  • Facilitate regular cross-functional demand and pipeline reviews, aligning forecasting assumptions and incorporating product and sales strategies, lifecycle changes, new product introductions, demand trends, and other business inputs into the demand plan 

  • Create and share reports and presentations to inform leadership about plans and results 

  • Support the S&OP process with demand planning inputs that drive cross-functional alignment 

  • Contribute to planning-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives 

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of demand planning concepts, forecasting methodologies, and business drivers 

  • Collaborative mindset - inclined to include cross-functional partners and keep them informed 

  • Strong analytical rigor, critical thinking, and attention to detail 

  • Ability to synthesize multiple data inputs into a cohesive demand plan 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with planning tools such as Anaplan preferred 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations 

  • Business acumen and understanding of how demand planning impacts financial and operational outcomes 

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving inputs and ambiguity 

  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on enhancing forecast accuracy and planning processes 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field 

  • 2+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or related analytical roles 

  • Experience supporting or contributing to S&OP or cross-functional planning processes 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights 

  • Experience forecasting new products and working with limited historical data is a plus
