Role summary

Applies data science and AI/ML techniques to product and operational problems within Agora while working as a hands-on technical specialist. The role prototypes and productionizes data-driven capabilities, integrates them with enterprise applications and workflows, and supports reliable operation in a cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype, evaluate, and productionize applied AI/ML capabilities for relevant Agora use cases.
• Use Python and data-processing techniques to prepare, analyze, validate, and operationalize data-driven solutions.
• Integrate models, decision logic, or intelligent services with APIs, applications, workflows, and enterprise systems.
• Define testable acceptance criteria and validation approaches for AI/ML-enabled capabilities.
• Monitor solution behavior, investigate data or performance issues, and improve reliability and observability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, architecture, operations, and quality teams on delivery and adoption.
• Contribute to reusable AI-assisted engineering, automation, diagnostics, and development practices.

Core capabilities

• Strong Python, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Applied experience with machine learning, statistical methods, data preparation, model evaluation, or AI-enabled applications.
• Ability to integrate data/AI capabilities into enterprise applications, APIs, services, and cloud environments.
• Understanding of software engineering, testing, security, observability, and production support expectations.
• Ability to independently own complex technical work and communicate findings and tradeoffs clearly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in data science, applied AI/ML, analytics, machine-learning engineering, software engineering, or a closely related technical role. Demonstrated applied work can substitute for longer tenure.
• College degree, diploma, or equivalent post-secondary education in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Software Development, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related quantitative/technical field.
• Hands-on capability with Python and practical experience preparing and analyzing data, developing or applying machine-learning/AI techniques, evaluating solution quality, and integrating data-driven capabilities into applications, APIs, workflows, or cloud environments.
• AI/ML, data, Microsoft Azure/cloud, analytics, or related technical certifications are beneficial but not required.
