Key Responsibilities

Product Configuration & Data Modeling

  • Gather and analyze product requirements from engineering documents, technical specifications, and business stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable CPQ configuration solutions.
  • Develop and maintain product models in Tacton CPQ using configuration rules, constraints, dependencies, and validation logic.
  • Configure product structures, BOMs, pricing rules, and intelligent part number generation.
  • Collect, organize, maintain, and cleanse product, material, motor, dimensional, and engineering data within the product configuration system.
  • Ensure product configurations dynamically respond to user selections by presenting only relevant options based on configuration logic.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure configuration accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Deliver high-quality product models that improve configuration accuracy, maintainability, and user experience.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of CPQ processes, product data, and modeling standards.
     

System Support & Collaboration

  • Work closely with global Engineering, Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Pricing, and IT teams.
  • Support integration between Tacton CPQ and enterprise systems by assisting with API-related configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve configuration issues and enhance system capabilities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work across different schedules, as needed, to meet project milestones and strict business deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in CPQ, product configuration, or engineering data modeling.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management, analysis, validation, and data cleansing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional and Agile environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with Tacton CPQ or similar CPQ tool.
  • Understanding of Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) processes.
  • Knowledge of API integrations with ERP, PLM, or custom web applications.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Python, VBA, or Excel automation for data validation, reporting, or process improvements.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar Agile project management tools.
  • Knowledge of PLM/ERP systems and enterprise integrations.
