About this Data Migration Manager (Benelux) role at GEA

GEA · Onsite · Deventer
Drive the data foundation of a global SAP S/4HANA transformation

At GEA, we don't just implement systems. We transform the way our business operates. As part of our international SAP S/4HANA program, we're looking for an experienced Data Migration Manager (Benelux) to ensure high-quality, reliable data transitions across our sites.
In this role, you will play a critical part in one of the most important elements of any ERP transformation: data. You will take ownership of the local migration activities, starting with the Netherlands and later supporting additional sites within the Nutrition Plant Engineering division.
If you enjoy solving complex data challenges, working closely with business and IT stakeholders, and making a visible impact in an international environment, this could be your next opportunity.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Lead local data migration activities from preparation through execution for SAP S/4HANA implementations.
  • Extract, analyse and profile data from legacy systems.
  • Identify data quality issues and drive cleansing and remediation activities.
  • Define and validate data mappings, transformation rules and business rules.
  • Execute mock loads, migration testing and reconciliation activities.
  • Support cutover and hypercare phases during go-live.
  • Develop insights and reporting related to migration progress and data quality.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Data Owners, Data Stewards, Key Users and IT teams.
  • Investigate root causes of data issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with international migration teams across multiple locations.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data migration, master data management or large-scale data transformation projects.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, data profiling and ETL/data transformation tools.
  • Experience with SAP master and transactional data.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA migration approaches and migration tooling is highly desirable.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python is a plus.
  • Interest in modern data and analytics platforms such as Databricks and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Independent, structured and result-oriented working style.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe to support future migration projects.

Our offer

  • A key role in a strategic international SAP transformation program.
  • The opportunity to influence data quality, governance and standardisation across the organisation.
  • Exposure to modern data platforms and analytics technologies.
  • Collaboration with international experts and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent opportunities for personal and professional development.
  • A dynamic environment where your expertise directly impacts business success.
