About this Data Engineer - freelance 12 months (AI Team) role at Moneyfarm

We are looking for a talented Freelance Mid-Senior Data Engineer to support our AI Operational Efficiency stream.

In this role, you won't just maintain pipelines; you will be a true "builder" with a smart, proactive attitude, capable of bridging the gap between a Modern Data Stack and cutting-edge GenAI applications. You will play a key role in driving operational efficiency through data and AI-driven automation.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines to power our AI operational initiatives.
Implement and manage data flows tailored for agentic workflows and LLM interactions.
Maintain and evolve our data infrastructure, ensuring high data quality and availability.
Partner with the AI team to deploy smart, efficient, and automated solutions.

Requirements

Technical Requirements:

Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering and scripting.
Solid experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.
Hands-on experience with orchestration tools, specifically Airflow.
Deep knowledge of Amazon Redshift or equivalent Modern Data Stack technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.).
Familiarity with agentic workflows and building architectures that interact with LLMs (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG patterns).
