Overview
- The Data Center Facilities Team Lead is responsible to manage all Data Center facilities related activities like operations, planning, maintenance and documentation. This role reports to the Platform Lead.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the IT Teams, vendors and building management team to ensure activities are well planned and executed smoothly with minimum or no interruptions to the data center operations.
- Ensure the service level of vendors are met for the Data Center operations.
- To provide technical advice and technical support in relation to Data Center facilities management
- To review work processes and improve on work planning and execution
- Assist vendors and service contractors in obtaining the appropriate internal approvals within the Bank prior to any activity.
- Ensuring Data Center is able to provide 100% uptime to support the Bank’s business operations.
- Participates in all Change Management processes including risk assessment and procedural development and review.
- Works with IT Sourcing and Procurement and IT stakeholder to provide successful build implementations within specified timelines.
- Managing operations and maintenance of all data center infrastructure equipment
- To plan schedules and supervise the routine maintenance and emergency service on critical systems, including: diesel generators, UPS systems, electrical switchgear, power distribution equipment, chillers, PAC equipment, fire detection/suppression and Data Center monitoring systems.
- Manage all Data Center facilities documentation.
- On-call 24x7 for incident management and data center emergency response.
- Ensuring the data center complies to the regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring the compliance of the Data Center standards and requirements by IT staff, security guards and vendors
Qualifications
- Malaysian citizen
- Background in Data Center facilities management.
- Must have the ability to make decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Must have communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external clients and vendors.
- Any certification in Electrical / Mechanical / Data Center arrears is an added advantage.
