As a Data Migration Architect, you will play a critical role in delivering complex enterprise transformation programs by designing and leading end-to-end data migration solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, data engineers, and delivery teams to ensure data is migrated accurately, securely, and efficiently across modern cloud and enterprise platforms.

This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, consulting capability, stakeholder management, and hands-on experience delivering large-scale migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead data migration strategies, architectures, and delivery roadmaps for enterprise transformation programs.

• Conduct source system analysis, data profiling, and migration assessments to determine migration readiness and identify data quality issues.

• Facilitate business and technical workshops to define migration scope, data mappings, transformation rules, validation criteria, and reconciliation requirements.

• Design and oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) frameworks to support migration activities.

• Establish data governance, data quality, cleansing, and remediation processes to improve migration outcomes.

• Develop and manage reconciliation frameworks, exception handling processes, and migration validation controls.

• Lead migration planning, mock migrations, cutover activities, deployment execution, and post-go-live support.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and project teams to ensure successful delivery of migration programs.

• Provide leadership and guidance to data engineers and project teams throughout the migration lifecycle.

• Identify and mitigate migration risks, dependencies, and issues while ensuring project milestones are achieved.

About You

• 8+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Migration, Data Architecture, or Solution Architecture roles.

• Proven experience delivering complex enterprise data migration programs across cloud and on-premises platforms.

• Strong expertise in:

  • Data analysis and profiling

  • Data migration strategy and planning

  • Data mapping and transformation design

  • Data quality assessment and remediation

  • Data reconciliation and validation

  • Data governance and master data management

  • Data migration testing and cutover planning

• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and technologies, including:

  • Microsoft Fabric

  • Azure Data Factory

  • Azure Data Lake

  • Azure Databricks

  • Azure Synapse Analytics

  • SQL Server

  • Snowflake

  • Other enterprise data integration and analytics platforms

• Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills with the ability to facilitate workshops and influence decision-making.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.

• Experience working within Agile and enterprise delivery environments.

Desirable Experience

• Experience delivering Dynamics 365 (D365) data migration projects, including:

  • Data extraction

  • Data cleansing

  • Data mapping

  • Transformation design

  • Data validation

  • Migration testing

  • Cutover execution

• Experience supporting ERP and CRM transformation programs involving:

  • Dynamics 365

  • SAP

  • Oracle

  • Salesforce

  • Other enterprise platforms

• Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric certifications.

• Knowledge of modern data governance, data quality, and master data management frameworks.

• TOGAF, DAMA/CDMP, or equivalent architecture and data management certifications.
