As a Data Analyst within our dynamic Business Intelligence team, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. Your primary responsibility will be to analyse large datasets, extract meaningful patterns, and provide valuable insights that contribute to informed decision-making across the organisation. This role is instrumental in shaping our data-driven approach and ensuring the efficient functioning of our business intelligence processes.


 

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations. Translate data into meaningful insights that support strategic business decisions.

  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to present key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics. Ensure accuracy, relevance, and timeliness in reporting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clean and validate data, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Identify and rectify data anomalies and discrepancies.

  • Forecasting & Predictive Modeling: Utilize statistical methods and predictive modeling techniques to forecast future trends, enabling proactive decision-making.

  • Work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, to understand their analytical needs and provide insights that drive business strategy.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data processes, reporting mechanisms, and analytical tools. Implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

  • Uphold data governance standards and best practices. Contribute to the development and enforcement of data quality policies.


 

What you will bring:

  • Proficient in analysing large datasets, identifying trends, and extracting meaningful insights. 

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • High proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, or R.

  • Experience with BI tools (e.g. Quicksight, Tableau, Power BI) is essential.

  • Understanding of statistical concepts and methods for forecasting and predictive modeling.

  • Ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Experience in creating visually compelling reports and dashboards.

  • Ability to adapt to evolving business requirements and technological advancements in the field of data analytics.

  • Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics.

  • Able to work well under pressure and at speed, focused on delivering business value.

  • Experience with Jira and an agile working environment.
