Maersk is looking for a motivated Customs Associate to join our Customs Services team in Rijeka. This is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in customs operations, international trade, and logistics.
You will work closely with experienced customs professionals while supporting customers operating in the Italian market.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist in the preparation and processing of customs declarations.
- Collect, review, and verify import and export documentation.
- Support customs clearance activities and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Communicate with customers regarding customs requirements and missing documents.
- Maintain records and update customs systems.
- Support compliance activities in line with customs regulations and company policies.
- Participate in daily operational tasks and process improvement initiatives.
- Learn about customs procedures, tariff classifications, and international trade regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Logistics, Economics, International Trade, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Fluency in Croatian and English.
- Strong interest in customs, trade compliance, and logistics.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
