Customer Insight & Research Manager

Location: Bracknell, UK | Hybrid, minimum 3 days per week
Travel: Approximately once a month across Europe

Avis Budget Group is looking for an experienced, commercially minded Customer Insight & Research Manager to deepen our understanding of customers, markets and competitors and turn insight into action.

Reporting to the Propositions & Campaigns Director, you’ll be the voice of the customer across our International/EMEA business, influencing proposition, brand, acquisition, campaigns and customer experience.

What you’ll do

• Own the EMEA customer insight and research roadmap, aligned to growth and commercial priorities.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative research, from defining the question through to actionable recommendations.
• Develop customer segmentation and audience understanding, identifying needs, motivations, behaviours and growth opportunities.
• Combine research, CRM, transactional, digital and market data to understand what is happening, why, and what we should do next.
• Lead insight for brand health, propositions, products, pricing, campaigns and acquisition.
• Build competitor and market intelligence to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
• Turn complex evidence into clear, compelling stories and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Partner with Marketing, Proposition, Digital, CRM, Analytics and regional teams, while managing research agencies and partners.

What you’ll bring

• Strong experience in customer insight, consumer research or market research, ideally in a multi-market consumer business.
• Proven experience across qualitative and quantitative research.
• Expertise in areas such as segmentation, concept/proposition testing, brand tracking and customer journey research.
• Experience combining research with behavioural, transactional and digital data.
• Strong analytical, commercial, storytelling and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing research agencies and suppliers.
• Familiarity with Qualtrics, Tableau, Power BI, Adobe Analytics or equivalent is advantageous.
• Additional European languages are a plus.
