Join us as a Currencies Trading Analyst

  • We’re looking for a Currencies Trading Analyst to join our growing Global FX team in Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity to build your career in a fast-moving markets environment while working closely with colleagues across our global trading pods in Singapore, London and Stamford

  • In this role, you’ll support the FX business in servicing our global client franchise and contribute to the desk’s financial objectives. From day one, you’ll learn from experienced traders across eFX spot, EM FX and G10 FX forwards, giving you broad exposure to global FX markets and a strong foundation before developing your longer‑term specialism

What you’ll do

You’ll rotate across Spot and Forwards in both G10 and EM FX, building strong cross‑product knowledge and gaining exposure to a wide range of market‑making activities. The role has a particular focus on electronic trading, alongside meaningful exposure to voice trading.

Over time, you’ll become an integral part of the trading desk, supporting client market‑making activity, managing risk within the firm’s appetite, and contributing to both tactical and strategic desk initiatives. You’ll work closely with sales, operations and technology teams to help ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the business.

Your top priorities will include:

  • Providing consistent and competitive pricing aligned with business objectives
  • Supporting delivery of the desk’s financial targets, including effective cost management
  • Partnering with sales teams to deepen and develop client and vendor relationships
  • Contributing to overall desk strategy, including reviewing flow metrics and performance
  • Identifying and escalating risk breaches or system weaknesses in line with policies and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with dealing authorities, position limits and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting smooth execution across electronic and voice trading channels, while contributing to continuous process improvement

The skills you’ll need

You''ll have a strong academic background and a genuine interest in financial markets. You’ll ideally hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in STEM, Economics, Finance or a related subject, and have one to two years of experience in a bank, financial institution or a relevant internship. Candidates with less experience will also be considered.

We're also looking for:

  • A strong interest in global markets and motivation to build a career in trading
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to execution
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • High levels of initiative, curiosity and willingness to learn
  • A strong sense of integrity and professionalism, aligned to NatWest’s conduct and regulatory expectations
