Your Purpose and Impact at Mars

As a CPFR Actuary for our Chocolate segment, you will be a key piece in connecting data science with the heart of our supply chain. Your purpose will be to develop and implement collaborative forecasting and replenishment strategies using advanced mathematical and actuarial models, aiming to optimize inventory levels, anticipate supply risks, and drive strategic decision-making alongside our customers and cross-functional teams to ensure our beloved brands always reach our consumers' homes .

What are we looking for?

Essential Requirements (What is indispensable to start)

• University degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or highly quantitative fields .
• Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling using tools such as Alteryx, R, Python, or SAS .
• Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel for data processing and simulations .
• Solid practical knowledge of actuarial techniques (risk modeling, stochastic processes, and probability theory) applied to business .
• Experience or robust understanding of CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment) and Supply Chain principles .

Desirable Requirements (Considered differentials, but you can learn with us)

• Prior experience collaborating directly with retail or key account customers .
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and communicate complex mathematical concepts clearly to commercial audiences .

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Develop and execute collaborative demand forecasting models for the medium and long term (6+ months) using statistical and predictive methodologies .
• Design and implement mathematical models for supply chain risk assessment and inventory optimization, reducing distribution costs .
• Collaborate actively with external customers to align replenishment plans and improve key performance indicators such as Demand Accuracy, BIAS, and Fill-Rate .
• Analyze complex data sets to identify demand patterns, seasonalities, or anomalies, converting them into actionable plans .
• Facilitate alignment across Sales, Operations, and Supply to anticipate demand variations and coordinate supply plans proactively .
