Job Title: Cooler Attendant Labor (PR03)
Department: Deli Processing
Reports To: Production/Operations Management

Position Summary

The Cooler Attendant Labor (PR03) is responsible for managing product inventory in cooler areas, ensuring FIFO rotation, staging products for production, managing rework requests, and supporting food safety and quality requirements. Pay is $17.95 per hour PLUS an additional $2 per hour shift differential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·       Monitor and maintain cooler inventory.

·       Rotate products using FIFO methods.

·       Stage product for production start-up.

·       Manage rework inventory and requests.

·       Identify products using rack tag systems.

·       Assist with product placement and movement.

·       Maintain housekeeping and organization.

·       Follow all safety, food safety, and quality policies.

Working Conditions

·       Work in refrigerated environments.

·       Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

·       Exposure to noise, wet floors, and powered equipment.

Qualifications

·       Ability to work safely in cold conditions.

·       Knowledge of inventory rotation practices.

·       Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Required Training and Certifications

·       Buddy system training as required.

·       Powered Industrial Truck License as required.

·       Monthly safety training participation.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

·       Hearing protection.

·       Steel-toed slip-resistant footwear.

·       Required gloves, sleeves, hairnet, and beard net.

Physical Requirements

·       Ability to lift, move, push, and pull product safely.

·       Frequent standing and walking.

·       Ability to work around storage racks and material handling equipment.

Safety Expectations

Must follow Tyson Foods safety procedures, maintain situational awareness around equipment and traffic, use proper ergonomic techniques, wear required PPE, and report hazards immediately.

Requirements:
