About this Content Operations QA Analyst role at cargo.one

cargo.one · Remote · Remote (EMEA)

🏆 What's the opportunity?

cargo.one is the AI-native operating system for air and ocean freight. Logistics still runs on manual work, disconnected tools and messy data. Since 2018 we've been building the data foundation, and the AI agents on top of it, that let freight teams quote, book and manage rates in a fraction of the time. Today more than 30,000 users across 172 countries run on us.

Ocean is our newest frontier. We've just brought ocean freight onto the platform alongside air, in one workspace powered by the same AI, and we need people who can make that ocean data rock solid from day one.

As our Content Operations QA Analyst (Ocean), you're the sharp eye that keeps this data trustworthy. Freight forwarders send us detailed rate sheets, and increasingly our AI helps process them. You'll compare the processed data with the source documents, correct discrepancies and make sure every figure is right before a customer sees it.

You'll build a strong understanding of ocean rates and surcharges so you can spot what doesn't add up. Content is the foundation much of our product rests on. This data powers the quoting of freight solutions by our customers to their own customers, the shippers: a forwarder wins that business on the rates we serve.

We're backed by leading investors, including Index, Bessemer, Point Nine, Creandum and Lufthansa, and we work remote-first in a positive, feedback-driven and genuinely fun team.

🌍 Where you can work

We're remote-first. You can work from (almost) anywhere cargo.one is able to employ through our partner Remote. We're a remote company, but we regularly meet in person, too.

🎬 A snapshot of what you'll be doing here

  • Quality-check the ocean freight contracts, rates and surcharges that our partners and AI populate, cross-checking every entry against the source rate sheets and tariffs.

  • Work through a steady queue of contracts with care. Follow the QA steps and record what you checked.

  • Learn how ocean rates and surcharges work so you can spot when something looks wrong.

  • Catch and correct errors before they reach our customers, keeping our data accurate and trustworthy.

  • Communicate clearly with our vendor partners when something needs fixing, and close the loop so the same mistake doesn't recur.

  • Spot recurring error patterns and help improve our QA checks, guides and documentation.

  • Use AI tools to make the QA process faster and sharper, and ideally help build them.

  • Maintain structured, high-quality master data across the ocean content set.

🙋 We're looking for someone who has

  • Exceptional attention to detail. It's the heart of the role.

  • The focus to work through detailed information without losing accuracy.

  • Fluent written and spoken English, since you'll work with international vendor partners every day.

  • The drive to work independently and own your cases once you're up to speed.

  • Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, and a genuine love of working with structured data.

  • Comfort working in high-volume, structured workflows where accuracy really matters.

  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to get work done, even better if you've built something with them.

  • Bonus: experience in ocean or air freight, logistics or shipping (e.g. freight forwarder, NVOCC, carrier ops).

❤️ We think you'll love working here if

  • You value building great relationships and trust with your team and manager.

  • You take real satisfaction in catching the small details that others miss.

  • You see working remotely successfully as a pioneering challenge that's constantly evolving.

  • In everything you do, you take ownership and get a kick out of exceeding expectations.

  • You love experimenting with new ideas and get excited when you find an opportunity to improve a process.

  • Faced with a choice, you'd rather take the ambitious option and grow than the easy one.

  • You see the value of giving and receiving feedback, and build it into everything you do.

  • You're not afraid to voice your opinions, and you like backing them up with data.

✨ Benefits

  • Home-office budget of €650 for a desk, chair, monitor and the rest.

  • Whole company Offsites.

  • Co-working options worldwide through our partner Desana.

  • 24 paid vacation days on top of your local bank holidays, plus special leave.
