About the Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for validating the quality and reliability of SigmaNEST, a leading CAD/CAM software solution used by manufacturers worldwide. You will gain a deep understanding of fabrication workflows, nesting strategies, machine programming and related manufacturing processes.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Application Engineers and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Test Execution and Validation

  • Create, execute, and maintain test cases and test scenarios for new features, enhancements, and regression testing.
  • Validate SigmaNEST functionality against business and technical requirements.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory testing for Windows desktop applications.
  • Ensure product releases meet quality standards and release readiness criteria.

Defect Management & Analysis

  • Identify, document, reproduce, and verify software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with developers to investigate issues and verify fixes.
  • Analyze product features and workflows to uncover potential usability and functional issues.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers and other QA team members throughout all stages of Agile development.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
  • Support engineering and application teams in investigating customer-reported issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related technical discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Experience creating and executing manual test cases and test plans.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience testing CAD/CAM, manufacturing, engineering, or desktop software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations.
  • Knowledge of nesting, fabrication, or CNC workflows.
  • Exposure to test automation concepts and tools.
  • Mechanical Engineering background or CAD/CAM certifications.
