Job Description:

Job Summary

The Commercial Truck Driver has a Class A Commercial’s Driver’s License (CDL-A), safely operates commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) day or night in all weather conditions, and the Commercial Truck Driver complies with all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• The Commercial Truck Driver safely and legally drives company-owned units day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions (occasionally over long distances)
• The Commercial Truck Driver performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment for each job
• The Commercial Truck Driver accurately maintains driver logs (ELD)
• The Commercial Truck Driver verifies and completes required documentation and reports
• Follow instructions and complete the required training
• Work variable schedule to meet business needs
• Maintain and utilize required safety equipment
• Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions and safety meetings, and always utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience, required
• Maintaining a valid and current CDL-A and a clean driving record, required
• Minimum 21 years of age, required
• Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, required
• Able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) pre-employment drug test and physical examination, required
• Able to pass a road test, required
• Able to operate both manual and automatic transmissions, required
• Able to perform Pre- and Post-trip Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) inspection, required
• Must be familiar with electronic logging devices
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, must be able to read, write, speak, and follow directions in English
