The Commercial Finance Business Partner at our Ellenwood, GA plant will provide analytical and reporting support to key business stakeholders across plant operations and sales, while serving as the primary finance business partner for MCF Environmental Services (a Daniels Health acquistion). The role focuses on preparing accurate financial data, supporting performance analysis, and contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and modeling activities. As the primary finance business partner for MCF Environmental Services, this position will support P&L performance, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Key to the success of the role is the ability to identify opportunities for efficiency and profit improvement while aligning with national financial objectives and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models in collaboration with the Commercial Finance Manager.
Compile and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis.
Support profit and loss reviews and help identify key trends and financial drivers.
Build and maintain scenario and sensitivity analysis tools to support business cases.
Assist in the development of financial models for capital investment and operational changes.
Work closely with the CFM to support financial reporting needs across Plant, Transport, Sales and Customer Service.
Effectively collaborate with operational teams to support financial processes and reporting needs.
Ensure high data integrity across budgeting, forecasting, and actual reporting.
Analyze customer profitability, pricing, and cost-to-serve to support revenue growth initiatives.
Assist in developing pricing models and supporting contract reviews.
Monitor competitor pricing and commercial performance trends.
Support the maintenance of financial controls and internal compliance frameworks.
Adherence to internal controls and compliance with reporting standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field; (CPA, CMA, CA) preferred
5-10 years experience in financial planning & analysis,business partnering, corporate finance, or business finance roles
Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, ERP systems, BI tools and data visualization software
Strategic financial analytical thinking and commercial acumen
Project management and advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Risk management, internal controls knowledge, regulatory compliance and audit management experience
High level of integrity and ethical standards, strong attention to detail with focus on accuracy and quality
Proactive and results-oriented approach to work
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
