THE POSITION

The co-op Technical Writer creates clear, user-focused Service Release documentation that explains software functionality and supports effective product use. Content covers homebuilding software applications, including core modules such as Accounting, Sales, Scheduling, Workflow, and Reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Author and maintain clear, complete, and polished Service Release and Hot Fix Notes for end users. Products may include ERP modules such as Accounting, Production, Sales, and Payroll.

2. Proactively identify documentation gaps and recommend solutions.

3. Create and format user-focused content that reflects changes across the software suite.

4. Perform other duties as needed to support the software business.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong attention to detail.

• Commitment to improving the customer experience through clear user materials and effective teamwork.

• Ability to quickly learn ERP software applications and analyze and synthesize information.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure, both independently and collaboratively, in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple assignments

• Ability to track documentation progress from initial creation through approval and final release.

• Comfort using Azure DevOps and a willingness to apply AI tools to streamline processes and create user-friendly documentation.

The estimated base salary range for this role is CAD$22.50 - CAD$27.50 per hour.
