Assists in planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. Assumes managerial duties as delegated by manager. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

Mercy Behavioral Health Services provides a structured and therapeutic environment to individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders and substance use disorder. Here at Mercy our dedicated multi-disciplinary team promotes a structured therapeutic program to help those in crisis through evaluation, education, medication therapy, individual and group therapy and relapse prevention.
MINIMUM REQUIRED
Education: Completion of accredited nursing program.
Licensure: Current state licensure in applicable state of practice.
Experience: Two years direct patient care experience as a registered nurse. One year experience as department charge nurse.
Certification/Registration: BLS, NRP
PREFERRED
Education: BSN preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
