Schedule: Days, Monday-Friday
Must have OR experience. GYN Surgery experience strongly preferred.
SUMMARY:
As a Clinical Nurse Leader, your strong ability to lead and clinical expertise serve as valuable resources for staff mentoring and delivery of quality patient care.
The Clinical Nurse Leader provides both clinical care to patients and direct oversight of the day-to-day responsibilities of nursing team members. Is the main contact for a variety of nursing functions in support of management and staff. Serves as a resource for clinical expertise and mentoring/coaching of staff. Facilitates the delivery of quality patient care through strong critical thinking skills, open communication, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary health team. Drives the staff to provide an exceptional experience for the patient and family.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Management. Assume responsibility for overseeing nursing and non-nursing personnel on a unit; function as a unit leader with the ability to act as a resource (both clinically and non-clinically) for nursing personnel, physicians and providers; delegate appropriate responsibilities to assigned nurses and ancillary personnel; assess clinical expertise of nursing personnel, monitor assignments and provide feedback and documentation
Patient Care. Perform initial and ongoing assessment of patient; demonstrate clinical judgment in responding to priority patient needs; communicate and document assessment of patient; develop and document plan of care, treatment and services; communicate with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team; ensure patient receives and understands education specific to their needs and abilities
General Management. Perform daily leader rounding and assure team members are regularly rounding on all patients; develop programs and strategies to monitor the quality of patient care and patient outcomes; assist Nurse Manager in developing and implementing long-term staffing pattern, personnel needs, budget negotiation and recruitment plan
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered Nurse license in New York State.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification in area of specialty by a National Accrediting Organization preferred.
1 - 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse preferred; demonstrated leadership qualities and behaviors preferred.
Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - NYS Office of ProfessionsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

PAY RANGE:
$43.26 - $56.51The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
