Client Director – Private Client & Wealth structures

Solance is a tech enabled Electronic Money Institution built for businesses with complex corporate structures or operating in sectors that traditional banks generally don’t service: family offices, internationally operating companies, corporate service providers and the clients they service. We are in the final stretch of obtaining authorisation in Ireland, one of the most reputable banking jurisdictions in Europe, and we are only getting started.

Solance Private Clients is one of our niches, built specifically for family offices and the parties that work closely with them. We begin with where we are strongest: payments and cards, giving clients a reliable financial partner for their day-to-day business. But that’s only the start. From there, we become the single point of contact for everything else a private client and their advisers need, from borrowing solutions and estate planning to investment advisory and wealth management. We do not provide those services ourselves. But we do solve them, drawing on a vast network of (private) banks, wealth managers, tax advisors and trusted partners who can facilitate almost any request a client brings. For every client need we will find the right party to accommodate such need.

Your role, in plain terms

This is a pure sales/BD seat. As Client Director for Solance you open doors, build trust, and turn relationships into a real pipeline. You will work the market you already know: the CSPs, the fiduciaries, the (multi) family offices, the wealth managers and the advisers who orbit private wealth. You bring them to Solance, and you own the relationship from there. Think of it as your own shop within Solance. You own the niche, you shape the brand of the Private Client business, and you run it with the freedom of a founder and with a tech-enabled licensed EMI behind you. Nobody hands you a script or confines you to a certain territory. You determine where the business is and you go and build it.

Who we are looking for:

• You are about eight to ten years into your career, you have spent most of it in the world that revolves around private wealth: CSPs, international tax advisory, fiduciary firms, private banking, or any position where your days were spent across the table from private clients and their advisors.
• Ideally you have worked at more than one firm, so you understand how the PC industry really works, and you have a network that runs across that industry.
• People with a background in PC advisory and corporate services know two things you cannot teach overnight: a network, and the lingo.
• You already know a lot of CSPs, the introducers and the advisers.
• You understand what it takes to work with private banks and wealth managers, how and why corporate structures are actually created, what substance really means in practice, and how to talk to clients who expect to be taken seriously. That head-start is exactly what Solance is built on.
• You add value to your clients.
• You are credible, discreet, and easy to trust in a room full of advisers and/or principals.
• You have energy, you get things done.
• You know where the business is, and you go and get it.
• We need a builder, not a maintainer. Someone who runs, who is genuinely hungry, who gets a kick out of chasing a deal and closing it.

Requirements

• Eight to ten years’ experience in a Private Client environment (CSP, advisory, banking), ideally across more than one firm.
• A genuine specialisation in, or strong exposure to, private clients and wealth.
• An active network of CSPs, fiduciaries, introducers, advisers and bankers.
• Skilled in structuring, substance and how international private wealth is organised.
• A builder's mentality: hungry, self-starting, eager to run your own shop.
• International, and preferably multilingual. (English is a must)

Where you come from

• We already have a good network in Luxembourg, Switzerland and Malta, if that’s your world, we’d love to hear from you too. But we are mostly interested in someone who opens new ground: The Netherlands, Cyprus, Iberia, the Nordics, wherever your relationships run deepest.
• Languages and a genuinely international footprint are a real advantage.
• Where you are based does not matter to us. You will be on the road constantly, in front of clients and partners wherever the business is, so base yourself wherever suits you. What matters is your reach, your network and your appetite for travel. That said, we do want you in our Dublin office on a regular basis, to stay close to the team and to feed what you are hearing from clients back into the business.
• You will be our ears in the market, and the product gets better because of what you bring home.
