About this Civil Engineer role at Quality People
Our client URGENTLY requires a Civil Engineer for 2 months + Contracts on the Gold Coast.
We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join a Corridor Management team. This role is essential for identifying future infrastructure projects and ensuring the protection and operational safety of the state transport network. Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff, you will provide technical expertise to manage the assessment of third-party road infrastructure projects, ensuring they align with legislative requirements and safety standards.
Skills and Experience required includes:
- Must hold a four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
- Provide engineering input into the services and advice on technical issues related to development control and third-party activities that would impact on the road network program.
- Communicate, verbally and in writing to stakeholders, information or advice on road network matters, including the preparation of technical reports, and replies to the public or to Ministerial correspondence.
- Undertake assessments of third-party applications seeking approval to conduct an activity or install infrastructure in a State Controlled Corridor.
- Contribute to the assessment and technical design review of activities relating to the State-controlled Road network, administered under the Planning Act 2016 and the Transport Infrastructure Act 1994.
Government experience would be highly advantageous.
