About this Project Quality Manager - Naval Field Inspection (M/F) PC-d2m-335 role at D2M SERVICES
d2m Services is recruiting on behalf of its client, specializing in the maintenance of large vessels, including high-performance ferries and specialized vessels for maritime and river transport.
As part of our development, we are looking for a Project Quality Officer who will be responsible for ensuring the quality of work carried out on naval projects, ensuring that parts, equipment, assemblies and sub-assemblies comply with quality and regulatory requirements.
The position is heavily focused on field inspection (steel, welding, painting, piping) and monitoring of activities directly on site.
- You will primarily be working on the shipyard to ensure the quality of work carried out on naval maintenance projects.
- You ensure compliance checks of the work, monitoring of operations and reporting of quality deviations.
- You also contribute to the proper application of quality and regulatory requirements on projects.
Main tasks:
Working with the QHSE Director and project managers, your main responsibilities are:
- On-site quality and work inspection:
- Perform visual inspections and checks of the work (welding, painting, steel structures, piping).
- Verify that the work complies with the plans and technical requirements.
- Monitor the progress of the work directly on site and on board the vessels.
- Identify, analyze, and report any non-conformities.
- Participate in inspections with classification societies if necessary.
- Quality monitoring of operations:
- Ensure quality monitoring of internal and subcontracted interventions.
- Participate in the collection and verification of traceability information.
- Contribute to the creation of project quality files
- Guarantee the reliable transmission of field information to the quality department.
- Contribution to the quality system:
- Apply the quality procedures in place on site.
- Participate in the management of non-conformities and the monitoring of corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through feedback from the field.
- Participate occasionally in updating operating procedures and processes.
Requirements
- Experience in a naval or Offshore environment (steel, welding, painting, piping).
- Good knowledge of naval production techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
Desired skills:
- Knowledge of maritime standards and classification.
- Experience in field quality control.
- COFREND level 1 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/ERP.
Languages:
English level B1/B2
