Job Description:

Job Summary
The Cement Field Supervisor acts as the supervisory direct report for all field, cement operations personnel; performs Cement Service Supervisor duties as needed; and gathers, investigates, and uses data to provide effective solutions for any issues that arise during a cement job.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as supervisory direct report for all field, cement operations personnel (i.e., performance management, corrective action, training, defining daily priorities, creating work schedules, etc.)
  • Manage time and attendance duties, including timecard approval and paid time off requests
  • Ensure that all necessary maintenance, preventative maintenance, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated upkeep is performed on vehicles or equipment used in cement operations
  • Perform Cement Service Supervisor duties as needed
  • Investigate any issues that arise during a cement job, analyze gathered data, and provide effective solutions
  • Input invoices into the system, ensure correct discounts are applied, and confirm charges for chemicals or additives
  • Complete and submit required Railroad Commission paperwork
  • Maintain compliance with HSE policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Cement Service Supervisor or equivalent experience required
  • Maintain a current valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required, valid current CDL-A preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, able to oversee the daily duties of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Strong critical thinking
  • skills, able to gather, interpret, and analyze data to provide effective solutions
  • Able to diagnose and perform maintenance on vehicles or relevant equipment
  • Proficient math skills, able to perform calculations
  • Must be self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Has mechanical aptitude and knowledge of safe hand tool use
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, specifically Excel, and able to quickly learn other work related software
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
  • Must be physically able to work indoors and outdoors with possible exposure to hot or cold temperatures
  • Must be physical able to safely lift or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance
