About the role

• Handling a portfolio of EL, PL, Product liability and commercial motor fleet claims from notification to conclusion.

• Handling claims including appointing investigators and expert witnesses

• Instructing defence solicitors on litigated claims and attending court when required

• Working closely with brokers and AIG policyholders on the resolution of claims and provide a high level of customer service, including client review meetings

• Reserving accurately in line with AIG’s claims reserving philosophy

• Communicating with internal AIG stakeholders where required

• Timely, accurate and customer focused claim resolution, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expense

What we're looking for:

• Experience in motor bodily injury/liability claims handing

• A basic knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements for this line of business

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Time management - ability to manage and prioritize workload and diary management.

• Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.

• A track record in building relationships with clients and brokers.

• CIP qualification or equivalent a distinct advantage
