Caregiver – Houston, TX 

A family in Houston, TX 77084 is seeking a supportive, compassionate caregiver to assist an older adult recovering from a recent fall and experiencing severe back and leg pain from a compressed disc. The care recipient is non-ambulatory and requires full assistance with bed transfers and daily activities. She alternates living between two local family residences approximately 10 miles apart every 3 weeks, so the caregiver must be comfortable working across both locations within the area. 

Schedule: 

• Days: 5 days per week 
• Hours: Up to 6 hours per day 
• Schedule is flexible and will be discussed beforehand

Family Specifications: 

• Support needed at two alternating family home locations in the local area (~10 miles apart, alternating every 3 weeks) 
• Continuous presence and companionship required while on shift due to non-ambulatory needs 

Responsibilities: 

• Safe non-ambulatory transfers to and from bed 
• Assistance with mobility and daily positioning 
• Full personal care support, including restroom assistance, bathing, and cleanup 
• Feeding support as needed (care recipient eats mostly independently) 
• Providing dedicated presence and oversight to ensure safety and comfort 

Requirements: 

• Proven experience in senior caregiving and mobility transfers 
• Experience supporting non-ambulatory individuals experiencing severe pain 
• Reliable transportation to travel between two local home locations in the Houston, TX area 

Compensation: 

• $12 – $15 per hour
