POSITION SUMMARY

The Career Ready Coordinator supports the delivery and day‑to‑day operation of RMIT’s Career Ready Hub, a student‑led careers service that provides peer support and employability development opportunities for students. The role also assists with internship support and coordination across relevant programmes.


The role focuses on coordinating Career Ready Hub activities, supporting and supervising student Career Ready Assistants, and delivering engaging career readiness initiatives such as workshops, industry panels, and small group employer engagements. The role also supports internship assistance and administrative coordination to ensure students are well supported through internship application and placement processes.


The role works closely with students, academic staff, and industry partners, and contributes to the effective use of digital and AI‑enabled tools to enhance career readiness services and resources.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Career Ready Hub Coordination

  • Coordinate the day‑to‑day operations of the Career Ready Hub, ensuring consistent, high‑quality delivery of student‑facing services.
  • Recruit, train, and support student Career Ready Assistants who provide peer career support for job and internship applications.
  • Coordinate and support delivery of Career Ready Hub activities, including:
  • Career workshops and employability skills sessions
  • Industry panels and employer talks
  • Small group discussions and clinics on career exploration and preparation
  • Provide one-on-one and group career support to students, particularly in relation to resumes, job search strategies, interview preparation, and internship readiness.
  • Support engagement with industry partners participating in Hub activities, ensuring sessions are well‑organised and aligned with student development outcomes.
  • Promote the Career Ready Hub through online and on‑campus channels to drive student awareness and participation.
  • Collect and respond to student feedback to support continuous improvement of Hub services.

 

Internship Support & Coordination

  • Support students with internship application processes, recruitment requirements, and timelines.
  • Assist with the coordination and administration of internship placements linked to relevant courses and programmes.
  • Maintain and update processes, guidelines, and documentation for students, academic stakeholders, and host organisations.
  • Assist with internship-related risk assessment and quality assurance requirements with internship agreements and due diligence.
  • Respond to student, academic, and industry enquiries related to internships in a timely and professional manner.

 

Digital Tools & AI-Enabled Support

  • Support the use of digital platforms and systems to manage Career Ready Hub and internship data accurately.
  • Work with internal teams to support streamlined workflows and service delivery.
  • Assist in the development and updating of digital career resources, including short videos and guides.
  • Use AI‑enabled tools (under guidance) to support scalable career education content and resource development.

And other duties assigned by Line Manager.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Bachelor's degree in business / education 
  • At least 3 years of experience in administrative operations, reporting and project management with a focus on higher education / career services 
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of tertiary education practices, particularly in regard to the needs of internships 
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills to communicate guidelines and policies, tailored to diverse stakeholders in collaboration with Gen AI 
  • Tech fluency: Have the mindset to work alongside AI to solve problems 
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational, and adaptability skills with the ability to coordinate and/or implement tasks in a timely fashion. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and flexibly, both independently and as part of a team environment and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement 
  • Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position, RMIT Values and RMIT Leadership Model.

All academic appointments at RMIT Vietnam must meet University and local regulatory requirements, including English proficiency, background checks, and (for international candidates) eligibility for a work permit.


English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS (General) with a score of at least 6.5 (or equivalent, as outlined in the Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding Guidelines).
