Job Description:

The Cardiovascular Institute and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) are seeking candidates for full-time faculty positions in General clinical Cardiology, Cardio-Oncology, and Preventive Cardiology to develop varied consultative practices within a growing and dynamic academic Division.  All applicants must be board certified or eligible in Cardiology, as well as eligible for Commonwealth of Massachusetts medical licensure.  Level 3 training in echocardiography is preferred for general cardiology and cardio-oncology applicants.

Responsibilities will include outpatient consultations on the main campus of BIDMC/DFCI and one its nearby community sites, as well as attending on the cardiology inpatient services and the Cardiac Direct Access Center. Applicants are expected to be actively engaged in teaching fellows, residents medical students and nurse practitioners -in-training.  This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking to develop an academic career in consultative cardiology within a quaternary referral center model.

An academic teaching appointment at the level of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS), full or part-time, will be commensurate with experience.  This role is an employment model position in the Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. Pay Range:

$170,000 - $742,000

The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
