To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Buyer Direct 3 to our Global Procurement & Supply Chain team.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer Direct 3 will be responsible for managing the procurement of direct materials required to support manufacturing operations while ensuring material availability, supplier performance, inventory optimization, and cost competitiveness. This role serves as a key liaison between suppliers, planning, production, logistics, and other cross-functional teams to support uninterrupted operations and drive supply chain excellence. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, procurement expertise, and supplier relationship management capabilities to help achieve business objectives.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Manage the procurement of direct materials and components by reviewing requirements, analyzing MRP outputs, and placing, rescheduling, or canceling purchase orders to support production needs.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to manage pricing, delivery schedules, quality expectations, and material availability while escalating issues as needed to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Monitor inventory levels, shortages, excess inventory, and potential obsolescence risks, implementing corrective actions to optimize inventory performance and support customer demand.
  • Analyze procurement and supplier performance metrics, maintain accurate purchasing records, conduct supplier reviews, and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, planning, logistics, and warehouse teams to resolve material discrepancies, track shipments, support invoice reconciliation, and ensure on-time delivery of components.

The Experience We're Looking to Add to the Team

  • Strong procurement, supplier management, negotiation, and inventory control skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 to 4 years of procurement, purchasing, materials management, or supply chain experience.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems for purchasing, planning, and inventory management activities.
  • Ability to analyze procurement data, inventory trends, supplier performance metrics, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship management skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, high-volume manufacturing, or a similar production environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices, inventory optimization, and procurement processes.
