Key Role Responsibilities

  • Create, review and release orders in a timely manner and perform transactions necessary.
  • Expedite deliveries as required to meet customer demands.  Identify problem areas that impact delivery and quality performance and initiate corrective actions.

  • Respond to inquiries on customer orders.  Ensure that inquiries are promptly and professionally responded to.  Communicate with affected person in charge when schedules are revised.

  • Communicate with sales and operations planning by providing input and feedback.

  • Ensure prompt disposition of NCR’s to minimize impact to the production schedule.

  • Maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships with assigned suppliers in an effort to foster continuous improvement and feedback.  This includes following the nVent Code of Business Conduct.

  • Process all order changes, holds and cancellations. Advise appropriate personnel of cancellation costs identified.  Initiate Return Goods Authorizations as required.

  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of assigned products and processes to complete all assigned responsibilities in a satisfactory manner.  Comply with and support company policies and procedures and the nVent Schroff and nVent Hoffman Quality systems.

  • Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Art Degree in business, engineering, materials management or comparable experience.
  • Knowledge of MRP and related system, preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a buying function preferred.
