Position Overview and Objective
The Business Operations Specialist – Data Analytics supports data-driven decision making across the organization by gathering, analyzing, and presenting operational data. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented early-career analyst who enjoys solving problems, building clear reports, and supporting stakeholders with actionable insights. The specialist will work closely with senior analysts, operations teams, and business partners to improve data quality, surface trends, and contribute to operational improvements.
Responsibilities
• Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to support reporting and operational analysis
• Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate insights clearly to business partners
• Assist in analyzing trends, performance metrics, and operational gaps to support decision making
• Maintain regular operational reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
• Support cross-functional teams by gathering requirements and developing structured data outputs
• Collaborate with senior analysts on deeper statistical or predictive analysis projects
• Document data processes, metrics definitions, and reporting practices
• Identify areas where data automation or process improvements could increase efficiency
• Support data governance practices by following quality, privacy, and compliance standards
• Provide ad-hoc analysis to support business questions or operational reviews
Key Skills
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Ability to transform complex data into clear summaries and actionable insights
• Working knowledge of Excel for data manipulation, formulas, and reporting
• Basic understanding of data models, metrics, and data quality concepts
• Strong communication skills, including explaining data findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Experience & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience acceptable
• 1–3 years of experience in data analytics, business operations, reporting, or a similar function
• Experience with SQL and at least one data visualization tool
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
